I want a good, clean, little dog.

I have had many pets before so don't ask me if I thnk I can handle raising a puppy etc. Also please disregard any threads that I have made concerning stupid pet owners etc.

just suggest your experiences with little doggies which ones have been loyal and good pets to you.

I've only ever had BIG dogs. But labs are good. :)

ok so by little I mean Chiuahawa. Greyhounds and Rottis are to big. And lauren I dont want no broken home dog I really don't need the extra baggage right now.

Not all are broken home dogs. Often shelter get litters of puppies as well. Not only would you be helping you wouldn't have to spend as much money!

All I can say is don't get a jack russel terrier as they tear everything apart or a beagle... my neighbour has one and it howls allllll the time.

i had a mini shnauzer for 10 years

small dog.. pretty dope. doesn't shed. isn't a lil bitch

my friend has 2 miniature dachshounds (sp?) and they are sooooo cute! His family breeds them, they're really nice and obedient, long haired but don't shed like crazy. The only catch is they're pure bred...so about $400 per pup.

i have a carin terrior cross and shes nothin but love. really smart and extremely well behaved. not as much energy and bounce as most small dogs which is why she suits our family so much. she should be around 15 pounds, but has recently aquired her "winter weight" so shes about 18. and theresd not alot of maitnence to her - she does get mats but brushing her every night or so isnt really a chore.

my vote goes to a carin terrior. mostly low maitnence, they dont shed very much for the amount of hair and length of hair, and htey dont bounce around your ankles like alot of small dogs do.
