Street Groove weekend of Dance

Just thought id share..

Its from Jan 28th-29th all day.. its a dance workshop kind of thing that covers, popping, locking, hiphop, house, bboy/bgirl'ing, street, and top rock. All taught by well known dancers like Lady Jules...Queen B herself. (sooo excited)

the "late" fee is only 20 dollars more anyways. its a full day event..and yes its a bit pricey, but soooo worth it.

im trying to decide between advance or intermediate right now... most likely gonna do intermediate and see if i can get into the advance bgirl class instead. stay in the mid to be comfy.

ure still young, ask your parents to sponsor you! its actually an event thats good for you!

this convention is SO much fun
umm I've always done the advanced level..and its pretty difficult..you can pretty much wander to whatever room, its pretty chill there...I think if you pay for the advanced class you can pretty much goto whatever room..I dont know if the same thing goes if you pay for the other levels but I'm sure they wouldnt mind as long as you werent in the advanced room the whole time and payed for intermediate or something because I think advanced costs more..but I"m sure it'll all work out..

The best part is the battle they have on saturday night...SO sick last year lots of amazing dancers..

bev i dont think the breakdancing in the advanced room is advanced...last year it was more like a beginner..but they moved quickly because the dancers were advanced and could pick it up..so you would totally own that class haha and as for levels go...intermediate is a pretty good one to go into because it most likely wont be too easy..and most likely not too hard. ;)

im really excited for the battle thing.. gonna work something out with my friend and see if we can do a bgirl combo together. we'll see. im pretty sure the advance and intermediate costs the same. as long as i can wander into the advance bgirl class with lady jules then im all game. im scared the advance for hiphop or something will to be too fast for me.. im confident with dancing, but sometimes have a hard time picking stuff up on the second...my stupid weakness, but i will get better at it.

i have to figure out howto get to surrey at such a early time on the bus from my place.. haha.

blah.. im pretty embarassed about how slow i can be sometimes, but practice makes perfect. i need to forcefully put myself in some harder hiphop classes and force myself to pick things up faster, while stylizing it on the spot as well. we all have our weaknesses, but there are always ways to work on them. =) gia im glad ure coming, we'll be first timers together!

haha yeah thats the thing with conventions...its hard to see sometimes and some choreographers add on ALOT at once and its really hard to pick up..but i think you guys will be fine...besides, then we can dance together ;)
