I already have my own religion! It's called "Amandaism" (and only Amandas can join - and I have quite a following too)... It only has one rule: you cannot do what you don't want to do... yes, thats it... and it shall take over the world! maw haw haw! :D

"There is no greater stupidity or meanness than to take uniformity for an ideal.''
-- George Santayana, The Life of Reason "There is nothing to take a man's freedom away from him, save other men. To be free, a man must be free of his brothers." -- Ayn Rand "He who joyfully marches in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would suffice." -- Albert Einstein Just a few tidbits I thought some might find relevant :) Last edited by FlorpIncarnate; Feb 01, 06 at 10:52 PM. |

Its called Mattology!
We dont drink the lords blood, we drink beer. We dont have mass at church, its at the pub watching the game Forget the 12 appositlies (Spelling?), we have the canucks! Sunday is Everyday!! WE EAT MEAT Drugs are not a sin. But not sharing is! "And then Matt looked into the sky, and he saw the sky had become the Matrix, and this was good. For this ment Matt was on some good shit!" Each day, each "Mattopian" is required to pray for 10-15 minutes. By smoking a bowl! (2x a day on holidays min.) Theres more, but I gotta go to work! |

Lets just say that even though everyone can imaginitivly speak and think... the world needs more than just beer and lsd. Religon was created as a focus of hope to certain people that have no following. No to make it something that would fuck up the world even more than it is fucked up... thats just plained messed up.

Existentialism--while usually being equated with the notion of despai--can actually be a path of self-enpowerment in the sense that the mind is subjective and that you don't need to follow when faith can come from within. Many fringe spiritualities use this idea that God is a part of everything and even from within. |

I guess it just went over your head so i'll spell it out for you.
Rhetoric was a part of Oratory or the ancient art of speech used and developed by classical Philsophers. In modernity it's used by politicians and religious leaders who use construed facts and who use selective vocabulary that can affect how people think about a certain topic. Why do you think the American National Security Strategy use's words like religious "tolerance" and "respect" for women instead of words like equality. |
