Want to lose weight?
Start weight training, and switch to low-fat foods and low-GI carbs (complex carbs... brown rice, whole wheat bread) instead of high GI carbs (sugar, white flour, etc) . With the same or slightly less caloric intake, you will LOSE FAT, not turn into a muscle-woman as the common myth goes. Also you will be much healthier, let alone weigh less. Guaranteed to work with all people, increases overall heath, and the gym is a lot of fun once you get into it. Frankly, fuck messing with your body's chemistry and metabolism through chemicals... just do it RIGHT. All it takes is willpower. |

haha...ok buddy...thnx for the bad karma...
i work out at the gym 5-6 day a week...doing cardio for about an hour, and then i weight train on top of that. i also take breakdancing lessons on every friday for 1-2 hours. i also run, and when the weathers good i mountain bike, hike, swim, rock climb, dirt bike...prety much anythin active and sports like. i eat healthy. only drinking skim or soy milk. low fat foods, i do eat carbs (whole wheat/rye breads, fruits and veggies etc) and eat lean meat.. once in a while i do indulge in a lil chocolate... no, i do not stave myself or do drugs to lose weight. all natural. i believe that wellbelove said it best.
Although you all make extremly valid points, keep in mind that for someone who is currently trying to Gain the Willpower in order to become healthy, if it was truely that simple, every girl would be slim, trim and sexy. Unfortunatly, in the real world, time is a lack of essancel. If you are working out 5-6times a week, how the hell do you do that, and more importantly, getting into that groove is extremely difficult. Tony Robins talks a lot about being motivated and breaking cycles, i started 4 years ago by cutting out most meats, milks, gelatin, aspertaime and florides from my diet. Quit drinking 2 months ago as well. Become conscious of what you are putting into your body. This thread was just a walk way window for those of us (i know because i am one of you) who just need the proper motivation. I agree that pills are an "easy way out", but so is doing drugs. And this way, it contains acutal vitamins and proper supliments that your body needs and can positivly use. This isnt your answer to fatness, and its nothing to depend upon. all these do, is show some results to make you feel better about keeping youself in shape. Its a foundation if you will. To start you on the Path of motivating yourself to get healthier...because when you see results, you start to feel better about yourself, when you feel better about yourself, your mind and body begin to work together. |

My sister has lost about 15lbs on 'CLA' or some kind of diet pill..and the worst part is..she eats fast food and doesnt exercise! It drives me crazy. All those diet pills make me feel sick..so I guess I will just have to work my ass off =/

Starting and waiting for results is probly the hardest thing. It took about 6-8 months before myself and others actualy noticed that I was starting to lose a FEW lbs. To first start really losing the wieght I dont think it hurts to begin with pills or try crazy diets like atkins. However once the weight begins to fall off you need to cut down the diet and just eat healthy. I cant stress enough how descusted I am to see ppl living off of sweet grand lattes, mc donalds, french fires with burgurs, white bread, pop, frozen microwave meals and tons of other non nutriciouse food. Once in awhile is fine, but no one seems to understand the harm your doing to your body. If you tell yourself everytime 'oh just this once' it turns into everyday. One huge problem is ppl are lazy to cook... sadly it's hard to eat well if you dont have time to cook and its jsut for one person. However over the years ive managed to change the food I eat to suit mylife style. So it can be done! Also I hardly ever get real excercise. I coach gymnastics once a week (once in a while I get hard core about it with the kids) If my job didnt require as much strength and energy I would go to the gym 1-2 times a week or sighn up for a class (that way your forced to go a certin time every week) Oh and then do lots and lots of walking (shopping) Thats all you reallyneed for excersise... Just make sure you break a sweat once a week and I think thats enough to start with. |

diet pills are the equivalent to laxitives or a crack&water diet.
just go to the gym,its not hard and makes you feel alot better then taking some magic pill thats just going to make you gain back all the weight you lost X2 after you stop taking them. If you truely want to feel good about yourself without the assistance of synthetic bullshit...go to the gym,get physical,be active...do something. When youre active youre releasing endorphines the feel good chemical in your brain.Once you release endorphines regularly it makes a world of difference. And getting into a work out routine isnt that hard.Just remember what the big pay off is,you feeling better and looking better and becoming healthier. Its easy to get into a routine of going to the gym atleast 3 times a week, you owe it to yourself to set aside atleast 1 hour 3 times a week(schedule permitting)for yourself. Crystal,if you really want emotional and mental health the best way to acheive it is through being physically active, not through the newest wonder drug.Rapid weight loss is not healthy for a person,it runs you down and the reprocussions arent worth it. |

Goddessa's right..pills are a crack n water diet...it doesnt hurt to be active, im an extremly lazy person myself and ill probly grow old n fatt living on my couch lol but we do owe it to ourselves to be active, endorphines make us happy and happy ppl dont need pills :)

why bother with ephedrine when you can snort jib!?! I think I might actually try something like this. It seems relatively healthy as opposed to the shit with epehdrine in it and built for a womans body. I'm already losing a bit of weight with all the dance practices and shows i"ve been doing, and cutting down on the crap I'm eating and energy drinks I drink haha. I dont have the time or patience to work out (unless I throw in my taebo or carmen's stripperobics every once in a while) so..... something like that might help. As mucha s I hate the thought of taking pills, especially to lose weight. |

all i can say is that you will gain it back as fast & easy as you lose it.
also you can be lazy and still lose weight.. just watch what you eat it's suprisingly simple drinking lots of water and tea, having hot baths/sauna's will also help clean out your systems of unnesscary fat and toxins and instead of eating regular 'brown' bread... eat squirrely bread or flax bread ...basically any of the bread that is made without flour. maybe even try taking a walk around the block few times a week.. or do some stretches even while your watching t.v. to get the blood flowing.. or hell.. have more sex if possible anything and everything to do with movement helps |

I never understood why some girls spend all kinds of time and money creating these crazy diets and eating habits, when they can just go to a fukn gym for an hour , 3 times a week, work cardio and light weight training and lose weight waaay faster. Just eat like a normal human and work out. voila People who say they don't have time is bs.. 3-4 hours a week? I'm sure some of you spend more time talkin on your cell phone.
