Haha! Thank you Cactus Club
So I went to my friend's birthday get together on Monday and I had the spicy shrimp pasta, and low and behold the next morning and I am out, in pain and puking! Yeah not fun, sounds like food poisoning to me doesn't it? I send the Cactus club a strongly worded email saying that thanks to their lack of quality of food, I am going to have to get a doctors note because I won't be able to finish my midterm or complete me essay, all of which were due this week or commencing this week.
So today I get a call from head office saying their sincerest apologies, that they will look into it. She also said that they are calling the health board and getting them to come and check it out. The health board will also be calling me afterwards. I am also being sent gift certificates. She was like: "I know you're probably turned off our food at the moment, but I would to say that this doesn't happen ever and please to accept some gift certificates as out apology!" So I did, though I don't know if I will use them. Maybe I will go there and just have some dessert and buy a couple drinks courtesy of them for my 19th! Edit And an email to boot! Dear Sandra, Thank you again for taking the time to write in and bring your concerns to our attention. As I mentioned on the phone, I have passed on this information to the management at the Scott Road location so they may conduct all the proper follow-up. I will also have them contact the health board to notify them about your concern. Richard Wiggins, the General Manager of the Delta location, has asked me to pass on his apologies to you, as well. He is happy to hear that you're willing to give us another try. If you would like any help with placing a reservation for that Cactus Club, he can be reached at the restaurant at 604.591.1707. Thanks for giving us a chance to regain your loyalty, Sandra. I will mail those certificates for you today. I found a dead earwig in my pasta at The Old Spaghetti Factory and they gave gift me a few gift certificates that are specifically for food and NOT drinks. Lose lose situation |

That's kind of gross seeing as I am having my birthday happenings there food wise. I love that place. But I got gift certificates from Earls and they don't specify anything on them, I don't know, I guess I will have to see when I get them in the mail. |

Hahaha, well I do have a medical certificate stating that I am out of commission until Monday. However, I don't think that's necessary, if they were assholes about it, then I would have sued them, however, I have no reason to do that. I am not out to try and make some company go under.

Yeah, alot of their choices were more.. what's the word... odd? Much like the Kelsey's menu... nothing to appeal to someone who just wants a simple and tasty meal. They seem kind of trendy in their choices. These days it seems like the weirder the menu, the more hip the place

Good luck trying to sue a place like that with NO evidence that their food actually gave you food poisioning.
The only evidence you have is it was maybe the last place you ate. Food poisioning can take a few days before it sets in and is VERY hard to trace. That's cool though you got those gift certificates. |

i doubt you could actually sue them.. first of all you have to prove that you got sick from the food. a little hard to do |
