Uh, you might want to let the rest of us know what the hell you're talking about.

Painting _what_?

A house?
A room?
A chair?
A canvass?

Frosty
(needs more data)

I suck at painting but i would agree with ^ 3

sometimes black and white just expresses a picture so much but sometimes its just gotta be colors.

Don't forget theirs also water colors, oil paints etc...

elliot is an unknown quantity at this point
black and white can be really good.. i went to see the van gogh charcoal drawings recently. angles and intensity. but colour tends to mesmerize me for much longer.. softer depictions of lighting

tough one. lately i've been painting in black and white with some raw umber in the mix.
but i love color. im an artist. i live in a bedroom thats rain slicker yellow with fuscia trim and a colbolt blue ceiling and a cement floor that i sometimes draw on. i love the instant stimulation color can give, but man oh man sometimes color can suck balls.
its all on how you use and apply it i think.
my personal examples (because i love showin work)
that last image is from a series that i sold - 2nd quickest peices i have ever sold before. and i loved them. big ugly grey poorly drawn paintings.

i love painting in colour...i mostly paint with water colours, but i have worked with oil and a few others...but when it comes to sketching/drawing i like to keep it black and white.

two more examples. the big hand drawing is about 4 feet by 4 feet and i did it all with a regular yellow hp pencil. almost went crazy, but love the peice. had it at subeez for awhile. for most big projects at school, i usually did black and white.

the second peice is one im working on right now with color. its the base of the painting. 10 gold stars to who can name the origional painting i'm copying. (its my favorite)
