If I get that much sleep I usually feel more tired when I wake up.

according to the Guinness Book of World Records' website:

YOU SEARCHED FOR: longest sleep
WE FOUND : 0 records.

so maybe nobody's made a record. I wonder if being comatose counts as sleep?

anyways, I slept for about 38 hours once.. I've got mild insomnia so every now and then I just pass out for ridiculous amounts of time (not so great when you have a job)

Belms is an unknown quantity at this point
some body should make a record. Just the process of being awake would be work. Cuz you have to stay up for a long amount of time to get youself to sleep that much. On a sidenote i wonder if theres a record for staying up the longest.

apparently that record hasn't been set either. I tried every keyword I could think of. "awake" does not come up once. Maybe it's just the site - they might want you to buy their book. However, on a side note, the record for the "Most Squares Crocheted By A Single Person" is held by Susie Perkins of Cottonwood, Arizona, USA who has crocheted more than 14,000 squares over the past 25 years. Neato. *puke*

It's got to be pretty high, becuase I've done 24hours before.

But I was thinking, maybe the reason tiedye didn't find a record is because they don't do it. I mean, couldn't you just lay there and pretend to be asleep? how would they measure how long you actually slept for?

they can monitor your brainwaves. They've done extensive research on sleep, you know.
