Richards on Richards
as much as i enjoy that venue, i wonder how much time or money it would actually take to fix the womens washroom so that we don't have to forge a small river to get into one of the working stalls where the dividing wall may or may not fall on you while you pee.
it's been like that for the past 2 or three months already but never the less... who else went to mike relm? i thoroughly enjoyed the show, although i missed seeing the familiar faces in the crowd |

so so so so so so many nightclubs around town have an issue with a shitty ladies washroom, I honestly will almost prefer one place over another because it has better facilities.
Really are working toilets, doors that lock, clean bathrooms and enough toilet paper and paper towels too much to ask? ugh. |

Yeah I have some good memories there as well, Living Legends put on a great show there last year. TV on the Radio is going to be playing there so i'm also stoked for that. The bathrooms are pretty disguisting though, the ones at Shine are bad as well, I really don't understand why these venues only have 2-4 stalls in total. |

Most clubs have AWEFUL bathrooms.
I can't think of one club i've been to where the bathrooms haven't been the shits. (no pun intended) What should we expect though, I mean we get a few hundred drunk people constantly using the can all night, of course they aren't going to look pretty. Still no excuse for the bathrooms FLOODING though. |

that's not true - the mirage had nice bathrooms.. they even had someone to give you papertowel and give you gum and stuff... lol |

I've seen worse, but still it wasn't to pleasent to be in. Even the guy working there handing you papertowels to dry your hands on was like, I hate my job right now. |

Because there is a shady bathroom precedence, it doesn't mean it's at all acceptable. You'd think that nights full of drunk people generally degrade the bathrooms, but having worked in two nightclubs in this city, when I get to work, before the club is even open the places are still messy, smelly and short of paper towels! Also, this still doesn't really explain why clubs let say two out of three stalls have missing locks on their doors for months on end. |

hmm... when i was there they were nice... but then that was a while ago, and in the girls washroom... might make a difference... but anyways, i totally agree that most clubs have disgusting washrooms... makes me glad i have a large bladder, lol. |

I read an article just last month about Dick's.
Yes, it's been sold. Yes, it's gone in a year (for condo's, duh!). But, the new owners said, IN PRINT, that they're going to fix the washrooms (seems they've heard of them). Why? Because, even in one year, a club can milk a LOT of coin out of the populace. I've never wanted to go to Dick's on a regular bar night. I've generally avoided that sort o' clientelle (sorta like Skybar....). But, it's a great venue! I love the set-up! I _really_ love the soundsystem in there! Verrrrrrrrrrrrry bass-friendly! You just have to go on an event-night to enjoy the people who really want to be there for the music. Frosty (saw Manitoba @ Dick's!) |
