This exact question we talked about at the Apex meeting.

That said Josh, be different than all the rest and have only 2-3 quality stages with proper setups and that are placed well on the party grounds so no sound bleeds into one another.

If you allow up to 8 renegade stages, you are basically starting to turn things into an Apex. Summerlove did it successfully with no more than 4 stages.

I say keep Apex for the locals, do Summerbreak as summer different.
I mean, i've heard some of the ideas, the talent, the weekend long pricing you guys had.....and I was well prepared to pony up the cash for a weekend long event there (providing ins and outs) if like, locals played during the day and then the headliners at night.

I'd be one that would LIKE to see the original plan go through (the headliners I heard, $100 or so for in and out all weekend access w/ camping, etc.).....witht he eadliners I had heard, I think you could attract enough people from different groups that'd be willing to throw down cash for something like that, but I don't know the demographics well enough so maybe I'm wrong.

Regardless, best of luck with it, and if i'm in the province at the time, i plan on being there (hell, in respect to the finalized headliners, I may plan vacations AROUND summer breaks:))

We already have our main ideas for our stages...but the suggestion u are making is what we are asking about, should there be an extra few renegade stages that could incorporate music and acts (just like your suggestion)...and if any promoters are up to throwing these stages?

I think Josh meant that we only have room for about 8 local dj's to play on our stages :)

Even 2-3 renegade stages could be a possibility.

Please believe this years Summer Break 5 will be nothing like last years...we are placing our focus on QUALITY NOT QUANTITY!

Apex is good but most of the stages get the sound from other stages and it just doesnt work out, they have to be spread out evenly and pointed inthe proper direction so not to interfere with adjacent stages

I like the one night idea...
I like quality...
But I also like the idea of a few renegade stages...and I'd be interested in hosting one if that's the decision.

2 nights would have been sweet, rave at night and hit up cultus druring the day. and it would be better if u just focused on the less stages, maybe let other companys do the trance stage. that way they can focus on it and have more indepth stages
