I only do the Su doku in them... I don't really read any of them...
24 hours is trash talk about celebrities and other stuff Metro reminds me of the province on a smaller scale Dose I haven't really picked up to read, I will do that tomorrow :) |

There are probably a few reasons why they have more readership:
- They use about a grade 6 level of english - Its small and stappled together - They have people harrassing you at every street corner Whereas Dose (the better choice in my opinion) - is not quite as available - doesn't have a sports section - doesn't focus entirely on the City of Vancouver; its a national paper - isn't made with glossy paper (people seem to be more attracted to shiny things :P) |

dose is fucking worse than reading us magazine...
but it's marketed towards 20-something hipsters so it seems plausible that it'd be a success on these boards. only one i ever read is metro, just to get the ap/reuters feeds, but really i can get those off google news if i really wanted to. i never pick up new ones, just read one that happens to be sitting around on the bus or skytrain and make sure it eventually ends up in the recycling. the only one i actually remove from the bins is georgia straight, and even that usually just to read savage love. otherwise i have books i can read. |
