So, where do you buy you clothes? Guys and girls!
Doing a bit of market research here :)
So? Where do you get your gear from? What are some of your favorite spots to shop? Do you go to more upscale, (Robson/Gastown style) shops? Looking for specific store names here :) Of not, where else do you go? Do you ever shop for gear online? If so, where? Looking for guys input here too ofcourse! Any help greatly appreciated :198: |

where ever there is a sale - i buy plain stuff and add\re-make to my liking. i wish american apparel was cheaper, i love shopping there, but i recently droped $100 i didnt really have on not $100 worth of clothing.
the only thing i dont feel bad about dropping money on is jeans. i usually stick to american eagle - the only jeans that have ever fit my awkward body shape. plus they take a shit kickin and keep on lookin good - i welded, painted, print-maked, danced, pretty much did everything in them and they still looked fresh enough after their year was up to turn into a jean skirt for my vacation. looking forward to this years jeans - saving up as we speak. shoes, anywhere. i love shoes. underwear i used to shop mostly at jacob for because all of their underwear was 100% cotton, but now they've changed, so american apparel steals my money through their underwear. and costco. |

I shop everywhere! I am not a brand whore.. I'll wear whatever I like.
I just bought some really cute tube tops from walmart for $7.97! I like to go to the states and load up on cheapys from Ross, Nordstrom "the rack" and other discount places. I buy most of my 'dressy' or 'fancy' shirts from La Chateau..But overall...If I am out shopping and something catches my eye..I'll go in. The name of the store doesnt make a difference. :D |

Okay well to the girls who've replied so far, I know most of you don't care about brands. That's not what i'm after here. How about I take this angle then.
- What clothing stores have you been in in the last few months. I don't need to know what you've bought, how much it was, just what store(s) have you been in when you bought stuff. Last edited by firestar; Apr 10, 06 at 03:08 PM. |

I usually don't hit these top 40 type stores. Too expensive. I cant afford that, lol.
I like to hit up vintage stores, and privatley owned shops on Davie and Broadway. And a few in Gastown. For shoes, Skate shops. there is this place called 'Fun in the sun" on west 4th close to Alma. I jsut got tan suade (sp) osiris shoes for $60! My boyfriend got white dc's for the same price! There is this place at davie and denman, skate outlet shop, its good! And network apperal on Davie. Looks kinda lame form outside, but go in! Nice tank tops for 10 bucks! |

the last few places i bought clothes and shoes were Soular in west Ed., a sample sale in Tsawassen, the bay for a pair of jeans and random markets in asia. oh and socks from costco.
i usually just buy something if i like it and have the $, no specific shops really. |

Marks Work Wearhouse and Army and Navy for Dickies and Carhartt. It's cheap, lasts forever, they have sizes for long people and I like how it looks.
Jeans? Old Navy, I can always trust they will have pants long enough. They may not have the best quality shit but at least I don't have to go to 20 stores to find jeans that fit. T-shirts and shoes? Wherever I find something I like. Anywhere from the internet to pretentious boutiques to skate shops to sports stores to clothes store chains. Socks and underwear? Costco. Dress clothes? Banana Republic. Outdoorsy Gear? Mountain Equipment Co-op. That pretty much covers my wardrobe. |
