if i had it my way .. i'd want my boys plays the red wings.
but that doesnt look too promising .. I see the oilers takin that series .. and the Flames winning theirs leaving it at : Col @ SJ , Edm @ Cal - which will be disgustING Quenville will have to mastermind a plot to make sure Thornton & Marleau are kept off the score sheets. Shadow most likely .. Dan Hinote or Laaksonen would be the best choices. The series will come down to Colorado stayin out of the box. SJ took us out a few yrs back .. w/ Scott Hannan all over Forsberg... Now we dont heavily rely on 1 player. Tanguay, Sakic, Hejduk, Brunette are all dangerous players. Look for Wolski to hit the scoresheets too. If Theodore plays like he did today ( 50 saves, .965 save percentage ) -- i honestly think Col could do it in 5. Skrastins has been a fuckin beast .. blocking 4-5 shots a game.. Liles & Blake are lookin better then ever on both D and Offense. Good to see the Avs clicking on all cylinders. PPL can say wut they want .. that SJ is too good or what not .. But bottom line is the AVS just took out 2nd seed Dallas .. who were the 2nd hottest team heading into the playoffs behind NJ --- 3rd was SJ , 4th was Anaheim. Will be very interesting. As for Calgary .. if they do get Edmonton .. that will be probably the best series we'll see in these playoffs.. dont gotta explain why. I predict EDM .. if they can beat Detroit, they can take anyone. |

i am a theo fan, i've been watching him all year, and to say he was struggling is being nice. even this series vs dallas, he didn't lose them the series, but he didn't when them the series either. if theo improves his game, colorado is in good shape. but if he plays against sj like he did against dallas, expect joe thornton to break out, and marleau to continue his scoring. |

^ nice choices dingus .. not even i took an AVS . haha - (im laughin cuz i took Briere, Connoly, Kotalik, Afinigenov & Drury!)
anyways i posted this sumwhere already and im cutting and pasting again .. too lazY welll it was a long and crazy seasoN . i'll be the first to admit it was a bad way to go out . but not even I expected the distance the AVS would go.. THey exceeded all my expectations ... i wouldve been happy w/ 1st round exit .. considering the circumstances ( loss of fors/foote, goaltending, defence, 1 line team ) -- Wolski, Svatos, Hejduk, Tanguay, Mclean, Liles, Budaj still got miles ahead. They are the future of the Avs. Sakic will be back .. Im almost certian we`ve seen the last of Rob Blake & Pierre Turgeon ... and Brisebrois has to go .. Im confident that Theodore will be back in form by next season. The Future looks very promising. GO AVS GO!!!!!!!!!! |

You might even say Mccaw was jealous believe it or not of vancouver's turn around from a crappy team to one of the better teams in the league. and yes Burke brought in Niedermayer and Selanne to Anaheim and was VERY ACTIVE during the weeks up to the trading deadline, whereas Nonis was basically a sitting duck making no changes to anything including the core. |
