I work for CIBC.
I counsel people on how to manage their finances/debts and help them find the appropriate solutions for their individual financial situations/needs. Wage I will keep to myself, but let's just say I'm more than happy with what the company has offered, and what it has to offer in terms of benefits. I consider my current position a foot-in-the-door for me, and for once, I work for a company and in an industry I can see myself being in for the long-term. I work for a company called Cellex Power Products as a systems technologist. I help design and build fuel cell hybrid systems. Without giving away to much I make a competative engineering salary for someone with 6 years experience.
EDIT: In 5 - 10 years I want to be a senior engineer with solid energy system design skills. Weather this means consulting, owning my own company or working for another company in a senior position, only time will tell. Last edited by Leviathan; May 16, 06 at 10:58 PM. |

I've worked at the Holiday Inn Express in Langley for four years..and although I am the highest paid non-management employee I would hardly consider my wage "alot". It is a good company to work for..depending on staff and management. I also manage a bakery and cafe and my wage is a few dollars more then the hotel. I would say my disposable income is about $1500 a month. =D |

It doesn't really matter what type of fuel you use, the laws of thermodynamics unfortunatley make it impossible to convert energy at no cost. Initially the hydrogen market would use fossil fuels such as natural gas, over time it will move to alternates such as ethanol, methanol and eventually solar and wind power will be used to create it at which point it doesn't really matter but this belongs in another thread as this discussion has come up before :)
The company I work for doesn't design cars, we build lead acid battery replacements for industrial fork lifts. This means we can charge more money for a fuel cell product than a car company could. I'm actually typing this from an advanced automotive battery conference right now in Baltimore :) Quote:
