But what he was suggestion was moronic. Tolling every other highway around just to build a fucking tunnel when you can build a regular road for cheaper? Give me a break! Build the Road... Trees grow back. |

The protesters advocate a tunnel highway.
Yet when the numbers are actually crunched the tunnel would actually eliminate around 95% of the Greenspace the above ground highway would and be a potential threat to the underground waterway. They clearly just want to save their version of "morgan creek". |

And tree's grow back, but it won't be until our grandkids are grown up that they'll be back to their original prosperity. . . and who knows what the generation in between will do in that time. We're nothing more than a disease, a fungus, on the ecosystem. . . we should at least TRY to do something to take pressure off of the environment while we're saving ourselves a few hours on a drive to a world-famous ski resort. |

tiedye: Did you know that it's actually healthy for a Forest to be cut once in awhile? The Old Growth stagnates and dies and acidifies the Soil. Too much canopy cover blocks natural light and limits ground Plant growth as well. Hence why Nature uses Forest Fires to rejuvenate the Soil and the Land around it. Selective Logging promotes growth and better Forests. So cutting a limited area for a Highway and replanting the surrounding area is a fine idea. There are many laws and limitations in place with Logging in British Columbia. You might want to pick up a copy of the Forest Practice Code of B.C. and take a look. |

And if Nature has it's own way of helping the forests out, let Nature do so. That's my opinion. |

Whistler rules. maybe if you got off your ass once in a while, instead of writing out essays for every response, you'd realize that. |

You'd fucking hate Toronto. lol Opening up the corridor to Whistler/Blackcomb and the other communities will do nothing but promote growth and economic expansion which will benefit British Columbia as a Province. And face it, right now is the time to do it. With a economically conservative Government in place BC has nowhere to go but up! After years of the NDP fucking us over, it's time to turn things around. tiedye: That's good... as long as you know the deal. I've got long time Friends that log in Williams Lake and have helped them numerous times operating Skidders and bucking Logs once in awhile. It's a respectable job, providing Timber for Homes and the Paper you write on every day. Logging is one of the staples of the B.C. economy. |

b) Yes, I'd hate Toronto. It's an industrial/cultural wasteland. I don't hate people with more money than me because they have more money than me. I hate them because they get to destroy the environment and make money off it. No biggy, though. The earth has killed off it's entire population and rebooted before. It's not going anywhere. We sure as hell are. Enjoy extinction. Your money won't save you. Ta. Quote:
