i'm glad you understand, but i honestly place myself a hockey fan over a vancouver fan first any day of the week, just as you do with edmonton.

the only difference between us is i happen to dislike edmonton, but you do not dislike vancouver. and there's nothing wrong with that, we all just have our preferences.

i would never look down upon a person for being a oilers fan, nor a player who plays for them (unless if i didn't like the player in the first place ie: mike peca, rappy toreg, partrice bergeron), they have no control which team they go to (well, most of the time). but at the same time, i wish for their team not to succeed.
i'll toast to that.

but, same goes for baseball fans right? Canadians cheer for the Toronto Blue jays but are there any Canadian players? maybe 1,,, oh wait.. i think he got traded this year... koskie lol...

You just feel obligated to cheer on the Canadian flag no matter what team is playing under it.

There were lots of Oilers fans egging the canucks out of the playoff's last season. Its what happens when one team makes it and the other doesn't.

p.s: carolina in 4 games

p.p.s: i wouldn't mi nd the oilers winning but i just don't see it. The next game will basically either make or break the oilers.

For the true fan of a particular team in a league, you could not give a shit about pretty much anyone else. Your 95% concern is YOUR team. That's why they're YOURS. Because you live and die with them.

A more casual fan can switch allegiences more casually.

This doesn't even address the issue of rivalries and history between YOUR team, and others.. which I'm guessing has some influence on Kenji's position.

Kenji should be able to not give a shit about the Oilers without being called "un-Canadian".. as long as he's cheering for Team Canada in the Olympics.

Dude that exactly the same as me. I'll always cheer Ottawa and Montreal along with Van, but really I can't stand Toronto, or the Flames.

Oilers are kinda more neautral for me
