Mmmm, i love avocado with almost everything!!!!
Another good way to eat it is by cutting it in half and filling up the middle (where the pit was) with vinagrette and just eating it like that. It's so good! I've kinda noticed that avocado is dominantly a food obsessed over by women rather than men, maybe cause of it's luscious texture and *good* fat content? I don't know, but boys do you loooove it? |

living so far south for most of his life, charles (the boyfriend) LOVES avacado, and therefore i eat quite a bit of the fruit. it's grown on me, he showed me how to use it in so many ways. for a snack when we get home from the track after training all morning, we slice one up, put on some salt and pepper and wrap it in a tortilla and it tastes SO GOOD.
the old mexican trainers there used to bring me fresh mango, plantations, peanuts and oranges all the time. we would stand around the back of one of their old beat-up pick-ups and slice the homegrown stuff up in our hands and chow down while our horses were cooling out on the walking machines. i'll always remember alejandro sanches, one of the nicest old mexican grandpas i've met, he was always sweet and gave me plenty of overpaid work too. |

^omg 7 layers of heaven!!!! My girlfriends and I are literally wrestling eachother over it at any social event, so I don't think guys would even try to eat it if they did like it!
Mmm, i'm so making burrito's for dinner tomorrow just so i have an excuse to make guacamole. |

I really need to learn to love avacado more because it is soo good for you.
The only times I liked it is was in dip form until recently. oh, and once my mum threw some in a salad and the chunks were still a bit crunchy. but other than that I need to find more ways! |

another good recipe with avacado: jessica's famous handmade salsa
chop up the following and toss it together with a bit of lime juice: -a papaya -a small mango -a couple tomatoes -a couple avacados -an habanero pepper -some fresh cilantro -some red or green peppers if you like -fresh ground black pepper sooooo good on chips, quesadillas, burritos, omlettes.... and way better than that preservative-filled, mushy, tasteless red crap you buy in a jar *puke* |

It's really really good. The fruit sort of offsets the savoury tomato/avacado and the spicy habanero and the cilantro just makes it all taste so fresh and healthy. let me know what you think when you try it...it's one of my favorite kitchen inventions.
