its jhaymee hizon teaching the class.. he's part of dead wreckoning crew here in vancouver. theyve been around for a while now and like tiff said they're very good at what they do. if u wanna check out his style he runs a practice at bonsor comm centre saturdays from 5:30-8:30.. cya there :)

Yah jhaymee starts his classes tomorrow right by Lougheed ...$80 for 8 weeks...I don't have all the details completely as to where classes are being held but I will know by later tonight!

Just helping miss finesse pass along some info i got this morning:

We've received tons of inquires regarding our bgirl practice sessions and decided to bring in Vancity's finest bgirl, Miss Finesse of the world renowned FLY ANTICS to head up our new bgirl program!

SINCE YOU were one of the earlier inquirers, you've been given FIRST PRIORITY to enroll into the program!

Whether you are a beginner or have a bit of experience with breaking, this program will be an intensive training ground to ensure you develop solid foundation and understand what it takes to become a well-rounded bgirl. In addition, our goal is to create an encouraging and inspiring environment where girls support one another and strengthen our overall confidence. Be prepared to learn all foundation from up rocks/top rocks, footwork and stalls/freezes.

MISS FINESSE
Miss Finesse began bgirling in 1999. Through many years of dedication and passion she is now known as one of the best bgirls in Canada. 2003 was a break through year as she was featured with the Fly Antics along side New York MC Talib Kweli in Vancouver. She then made an appearance at the Bboy Masters Pro Am in Miami placing second in the Bonnie & Clyde competition. Along with her crew the Fly Antics, they entered the Bboy Summit in LA where they battled world class break crews to advance
out of the preliminary rounds. The hunger for battle would again take Miss Finesse back to LA for the Urban Dance Festival where the Fly Antics earned first place!

Today, Miss Finesse is based in Vancouver and continues to build her reputation as a world class bgirl, battling throughout North America while learning and preserving the culture. It is this devotion to breaking that Miss Finesse advocates the art form to be more understood, supported and recognized in hip-hop and around the world.

Dates: Sundays, July 21st to Aug 18th, 2006
Time: 6:00pm - 8:00pm (2 hour sessions)
Location: Scotiabank Dance Centre, Marcuse Studio, 7th floor
677 Davie Street (at Granville), Vancouver, BC
Fee: $120.00 (CAD) for 5 classes
