Road Trip!

So I was invited by a couple Friends to go on a Road Trip this weekend.

After work, I'm going to our Nations Capitol of Ottawa for the Weekend! :D

Should be interesting and a fun time. I'm pretty stoked that I'm most likely going to see an old Friend from Vancouver who I've not seen in almost a Year now since he is going to U of O.

4 hour Car Ride... it's going to be quite the fun trip. I need some enjoyment after the stressful weeks past I've had.

I worked in Ottawa for a year (at an electronic chip factory) & made the trip to Toronto many times - very nice summer drive! You might pass the location of WEMF (few weeks away)
http://www.wemf.com

Check out the natl aviation museum, also drive along the Rideau Canal. Lots of nice facilities, art galleries, museums (paid for by our tax money in a place most of will never visit).

Take a drive into Hull / Gatineau Park and up the road north into boonies Quebec for a bit - very different flavour, little stores etc where they don't know English. You can buy wine/beer everywhere, say "je veux une bière froide"

^ Yeah, I saw the exit for Tweed and wow... it's further from Toronto than I thought.

I'm in Ottawa right now. This place is awesome. Reminds me a bit of Victoria really. And there are an amazing amount of great looking women here. When I get pics scanned of my trip here I'll post them. The Weather is amazing right now. Not a cloud in the sky, cold beer in my hand and alberta Beef on the BBQ! :D

Most of our tax money went to Quebec actually. Ever heard of the "Sponsorship Scandal"? I'm sick of BC people saying that. Those museums have been there forever. Its the only tourist attraction Ottawa has.

Anyway yes... Ottawa kicks. I miss it. I'm probably going to move back in a few years because Vancouver isn't doing its self justice anymore. At least not for me.

Ottawa's biggest museum is Parliament. Lots of fossils preserved there at great expense.

Oh man! Ottawa is fucking rad!

I had an awesome time... time to get the film developed. I so thought that Parliament Hill was bigger.

They plow the canal in winter for skating for miles and have food vendors down on the ice. Really cold.

There used to be a head shop on Rideau St within sight of Parliament, I got a nice pipe there.

^ Rock Junction?

They had a Bong Sale going on... unfortunately I wasn't rich enough to get the one I wanted so I settled for some Incense and a nice Holder instead.

My Friend works on the Canal as some sorta Vendor in the Winter. If I could skate to any sort of proficiency I'd totally check that.
