most of the women in my family choose not to shave their legs or arm pits (it's a Eurpopean thang)
Personally I think it's nasty when girls dont take care of themselves the way they should. It's called hygenic maintence ladies and it only takes a couple minutes out of your day

With the amount of hair that i have on my back and chest the misses insists that i get it waxed. You women are very brave to be going through with that.

^^ok ok we get it, you're trying to bring saliency to the issue of societal norms between sexes. I don't think either sex enjoys the chewbacca experience so your argument is completely redundent. Your little thread and week long arm-pit-a-thon isn't going to start a revolution to overthrow the opressive institution of shaved arm pits. And who says guys don't have to trim down there?

i'm not really that odd, I just like looking at all sides of the octagone. And i'm not PRO or ANTI shaving: I just like debating one side to get others to think about what they can say to defend their opinion. I'm a razor jocky: shaved sense 6th grade. I just started wondering WHY we do it.

Ok, i think some ppl are missing the point. I dont think this is really about who is pro or con to shaving. I think that any guy prefers his woman shaved, plain and simple. If one can tollerate their girl having a fro between her legs then all the power to 'em. Also, if your woman shaves, it also show that she is willing to make an effort to be extra hot for you. I actually find it rare that I meet a girl that doenst shave, or at least claim to.

First off I prefer shaved and I also think that men have a similar social contract. I shave every day or every other day and trim where needed. On the other hand is there any guy here that can say they wouldn't date a really hot, cool, otherwise well groomed girl that didn't shave?

Hardly anyone has really answered WHY they dont like hairy women/men and given a good reason for it. You all say its discusting or not hygenic... but how do you get that impression? It doesnt make sence where it grose on a girl, but not a guy? Such a double standard.
It's obviously a culture things and seems to be tabu if a women doesnt shave at least her arm pits/legs. What else is it seems to be a generation trend for example woment shaving/waxing everything below the neeck. And guys it seems to be an expectation for them to trim and shave in more places. Where as are parents where never like that and go in shock when they find out. As for myself I mainly shave becuase I feel more comfortable that way. Its less irritating and I do prefer a roughless surface on my skin. I do expect guys to trim up on a regular basis. Gorrillas dont attract me, but guys with a bit of hair on their legs and pits shows a little masculinity wich can be a turn on. It's all about ballance. Personaly I think hair that was shaven and is then a few days grown in shows a lack of hygine since it tells me you shaved (showered) a few days ago, but couldnt be bothered today. Women also beware becuase they suspect one reason for breast cancer may be from applying antipersprint to shaven arm pits. Where as guys have hair so it doesnt block their poors as much when they sweet letting their armpits release sweaty toxins instead of them building up in side their body. Men are hairy ...it's what we do. Society is obsessed with preserving youth these days , maybe that's why hair on ladies is considered "gross". I prefer a well groomed girl ...and it is the guy's job to return the favour. If trends really move in cycles , then really hairy men , and giant woman bush's will be in style again in a few years.

I wish I had the facial hair growth rate of a chinese guy...They can go days without shaving and you cant even tell...I on the other hand shave in the morning and can shave again that night
Come to think of it, most asians(orient) that I know have almost no body hair...why is that...seems evolution worked in their favor
