the rocks @ Lake of the Woods, it is just a small lake off the trans-Canada near Hope, if you live in the Fraser Valley this place beats Cultas/Harrison.
International - Inpanema in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Don't think i can top that one for awhile |

Jomtien beach, pattaya, Thailand cuz it's just gorgeous! postcard perfect!
In Vancouver I would have to say Wreck, because you can actually swim in the water and not get cuaght in mounds of seaweed and the people are awesome!! It's such a relaxed atmosphere and you can buy just about anything while relaxing on the beach. |

definately have to agree - driving home from green lake myself and lady friends were cooking inside of the minivan we were drivin and saw some water, pulled over. as we were running towards the lake we were rippin off our outer layers of clothes, ran down the steep hill\rock thing, ran along the tree that was under the water and dove off the end one by one. it was fucking amazing and the perfect temperature. in the top three favorite local beaches. |

Locally:
I like White Pine and Buntzen just because they are fresh water lakes. I like to go in the water and I'm not a big fan of swimming in the ocean... kinda disgusting imo. I also like White Rock b/c its close to where I live and the scenery is nice and lots of shops and bars along the drive. Although, parking can be a bitch. Just rescently a big fan of Rainbow Lake near Whistler. First time there a few weeks ago. Very nice. Water is really clean. I think it's glacier fed, and lots of hot European tourists. Not so Locally: Shaha beach and Okanagan beach in Penticton... It's my hometown, so lots of good memories, all sand, no rocks, freshwater, lots of people, 8 min drive from one to the other, river channel connecting the two, and I've never been busted for drinking at either yet. |
