for the locals I'm partial to Wreck
-no tan lines, but not really any pressure to bare all either (which is nice!) -not a 'meat market' environment...which is why i hate going to kits -laid back beach, it gets busy but generally you're unbothered by other people/dogs/boats/kids (which I get a lot at other beaches) -I love going in the water there (maybe cos its cleaner?) -You can get almost anything booze, delicious food wise there for cheap -The stairs back up are definitely the closest thing I ever get to a 'workout' so that's good too :p |

id have to agree with eric on this one...long beach kicks ass(vancouver island)!!! i went wale watching its was one of the collest things i have got to do
but for local beaches white pine for the docks.....not the best lake but always warm, tones of ppl and its more of a party place allowett lake(spelling) if u go up to the top and walk down the trail it leads to where the river runs into the lake and u can cliff dive and see for miles down...really deep water, awsome view...cold as hell tho...if u walk down another path it will take u to a huge water fall...its so pretty and white rock beach for beaches cause when that tide goes out u can walk for hours and miles and look in all the tide pools...so much stuff going on;) plus u can go crabbing and so many hot guys and awsome cars up and down the strip... plus awsome icecream and on the 4th u can see the fireworks from the USA Last edited by t-skywalker; Jul 03, 06 at 03:58 PM. |

magnetic island australia
Cape tribulation, One of the oldest rainforests in the world. Proably one of the quietest places I have ever been. this takes the cake by far. The most beautiful beach I have ever been on/in. Mainly b/c of all the amazing fish I swam with 20 ft from shore. oh and honourable mention and arguably the nicest beach in the world. Whit haven beach in australia. This beach was beautiful but you have to go at the right time to truly appreciate it. Right time = tide out and no half naked tourists. we got some cool local beaches too but I just saw this an oppurtunity to brag about all the cool places i have been. |

kits.
say what you will about it being overpopulated with yuppies, but I love that there's heaps of grass (i'm not keen on sand) to stretch out my blanket on, and I can grab a tan while watching boys throw a football. Not to mention the close proximity to s'bucks and a fab gelato joint. :) |

Just got back from the Island... tofino is pretty nice just cus there's surfing there but that place other than that is pretty lame. Qualicum Beach is really pretty.
As for local beaches I'm really into Buntzen lake lately or White Rock beach just cus i used to always hang out there and have alotta memories there. |
