Addicted to eyedrops (visine ) HELP !!!!

I am addicted to Visine LR Eyedrops. What can I do to get out of this???? My eyes get bloodshot if I don´t use eyedrops in the morning + 2 more times during the day. This can´t be good to my eyes either... I have used Visine for about 10 years now - daily ! I never take any drugs and don´t have known eyeproblems. My problem is stricktly caused by my overuse of Visine... Can anyone help - this is a BIG problem for me !!!???? I have heard there is some eyedrops containing cortisone that can relieve redness from eyes over a short period of time without causing any rebound effect. Can this be used a a supplement to Visine over some weeks until my eyes are getting off the need for Visine and "normalized" ??? Visine Addicted

best to consult an eye doctor and have them one over the peepers

I'd suggest using a visine/vinegar mix. This will sting so bad that you'll never want to spray anything in your eyes again.

switch to natural tears. you eye doctor should be able to even give you some free samples. its what i used whenever my eyes got really bad from chlorine - theres nothing addictive within them.
or heres a trick i used to do - put milk into some goggles, put the goggles on and blink your eyes a few times. helps with the dry feeling.

or stop just throw out the visine and let your eyes be bloodshot for a little while. maybe your eyes just need to regenerate themselves. if you get an infection or feel you have one, put a cold teabag on each eye, it draws out infection.
