yeah there's no 2 ways around it, our defense got severly weakened IMO , but it still is true that you only need 2 good pair of D to take on the first two, and sometimes 3rd line.... your other D just play 3/4th liners its not that big of a deal.
If we still had baum.. then we'd be set. I really liked him and he was coming on stronger and stronger.. hes got some talent. |

Canucks to sign Tremblay The Vancouver Canucks are looking to the German Elite League to shore up their blueline Reports out of the Vancouver Sun are saying that the Canucks will sign defenceman Yannick Tremblay who spent the past two seasons playing for Mannheim in the German League. Tremblay has 37 goals and 122 points in 378 NHL games. Last season in Germany, Tremblay had 11 goals and 28 points in 44 games. The Quebec native was a sixth-round pick of the Toronto Maple Leafs back in 1995. from sportsnet |

Ya i know its a big drop but what are you gonna do about it with the cap in place.
Injuries always happen. Bourdan maybe be green but I think he'll easily fit rite into the NHL. It might not be the right direction but i think its suffice for now. Its not my fault nonis decided to not leave too much cap room. by the way sopel, and malik weren't on the canucks last year either. L.A and NYR. i still think our defence will be fine. All the teams in the NHL have had to let go at least one big defencemen pretty much. |

And what if they don't sign Carter or a proper first line winger? Bulis - Morrison - Naslund = hello missing the playoffs again. Then again, Bulis is left handed anyway. Although, Park with the Sedins could do some damage. |
