Interview Clothing Options.

Okay, So What are some things to wear to an interview besides The regular White Dress shirt and Black Pants?

Honestly The lady on the phone said that It was a general interview however Dress business like because "I never know who I'm going to meet" so really I don't know...there isnt a specific position that goes with this interview...

don't have a cam :( Okay what's the take on cleavage? lol cuz I got big knockers and my cleavage don't come small....so should i just wear a turtle neck or a little? Or even none at all because it is downtown.

Hey should i wear a turtle neck or will that look too plain? I don't really have anything that is "business" wear....

and its not just about this but it seems if i have any problems ur always givin ur 2 cents haha

I actually got in shit once, cause I was wearing the same shirt that interviewer was wearing but on me it looked super busty. She told me I could never wear it again. :(

Don't wear anything that might be construed as low cut or buttons that will pull.

lmfao but its black so even busty boobs, make them look smaller?

For any interview I would recommend anything clean looking, stay far away from logos and busy patterns. Try to avoid showing skin - shoulders, midrift & cleavage as much as possible. Avana's right about the button pull, doesn't look clean/professional. Closed toed shoes, stay away from dressy sandals that 'flip/flop'. Most importantly ensure that you are comfortable in what you choose to wear as if you have to pull at something it will distract you and I think that many people would lose some of their confidence if they don't feel comfortable in what they are wearing... which will come across to the interviewer. For accesories I would keep to a minimum because you want to avoid from diverting attention from yourself. Be prepared and bring along paper/pen, and I would also recommend a copy of your resume/coverletter/references even if you have already provided them. Most importantly turn OFF your cell phone or turn it to silent for your interview.

^^^ Thanks a lot !!!! that helped much. Okay here goes the final product. Im taking a shoulder purse that is plain, Copies of resume and references, Going to bring a notebook and a pen. And im going to wear a turtleneck with Black dress pants with red pinstrip going down the pants with my low heel kind of sandles they can be dressy. :) thanks for everyone's advice and the weird thing is that im not nervous im more excited than anything which is weird hehe but thanks again!

I have big knockers too and I always look in the mirror with the rule "nothing below the armpits". If my v-neck shirt drops below armpit level, I throw a white camisole underneath it.

um..its seems like this thread has become more about your breasts then what to wear at an interview..

SO..back on topic.

It depends what kind of job you are applying for. You should always dress business professional, but make it your own. As someone who has interviewed many people, I find it boring when people come in with black pants and a simple dress shirt. I always remember the people who added something simple, like a scarf, or belt. It shows that they care about what this employer sees. (Not that I would give someone dressed nicer, but wasnt qualified the job.)

As far as your big tits, learn how to dress accordingly. Sometimes you might need to buy a bigger shirt and have it tailored to fit you correctly. Its never ok to have popping buttons, and/or too much skin revealed. Good Luck =D

Dress sharp but conservative and wear nice shoes.

The best outfit in the world is ruined if you have crappy shoes on.

Also dress according to the job you are after.

If you are going to be working in a tech/geek job storming in with a business power suit might be out of place and dressing down a bit to fit into the 'culture' of the workplace is more appropriate.

Thanks Guys! I didnt end up getting the job because I wasn't Career stable (I don't know what i want to do yet) however he did tell me that i have a good head on my shoulders and he gave me his card so that when I have figured out what i want to do, I should give him a call so that he can help me plan it all out and stuff. :) Im acutally feeling okay about this interview (even though i havent had many as you can proablly tell.)

Another question if people still read this thread. Even though I didnt get the job should i still send a Thank-You letter?

Yea that's what i would do too. I didnt have any dress shirts so i just wore a turtleneck...oh man... lol it was HOT! and in acutal temperature not hot hot.

AT MOST call and thank them for the interview. Though, if you already thanked the guy who interviewed you, that's kind of pointless.

Honestly any kind of work i know it sounds bad but i dont have anything in mind just because I haven't had any experience...He liked me he said i have a good head on my shoulders Its just because I don't have my career set that was the problem.

^ Hm. Well, I'm the store manager at american eagle in brentwood mall. I don't have tons of hours to give out (probably like 8-20 per week) BUT it's definitely good experience. We have a great training program that looks quite lovely on a resume :) I'm in the store Thur from 1:30 - 9:00 and Friday from 10 - 5:30.
