Last year we were in the middle of our regular saturday night at the club, and an ex 80's rock god came storming into the club 'HIGH AS KITE'. He immediately went running for the dj booth and jumped on the mic and started howling and yelling at the crowd. Next thing I know I'm up there trying to convince him to put down the mic and to come down and have a good time at the bar. He was having none of that, the next half hour up in the booth was filled with nothing but long bleach blonde hair and whole lot of screaming over top of the music. Eventually we had security convince him it was a better idea for him to be at the bar.

Some of these are hard to tackle...
I went to escort my headliner to the stage feeling excited as it was bumpin when I last left. Sure enough when I point "there it is..." no sound and the place had CLEARED! Some technical difficulties becuase someone pissed on the wire. Extreamly embaraced, but the headliner sure enough brought the crowed back and even more. I once had a headliner of 18+ years who had a style that probly was best suited for the time and place. Some ppl were enjoying it but, what I found out later was someone continued to say things like "speed it up" "play somthing more bumpin" "no bodys dancing" etc to him. By the end of the set the headliner was so veriouse I couldnt even get him to talk to me. Other than that never DJ on shrums and for the love of god no body no matter what, have me play drunk ever again. I dont know how some of you do it :( |

I guess steering the board away from some negativity and onto some comedy was incredibly selfish of me, cause I was trying to steal all the attention. |
