e_BoY is an unknown quantity at this point
whether its worth it or not is personal preference. If you down with him you will probably think its fine and if ur not then you wont. Its like rave tickets. Last minute tickets some people will fork out $100+ and some say their insane. Hey to some people its worth it. IN the end if you dont want to go or if its too exspensive for u then dont go.

To me i rather spend the ticket money and buy his dvds or somethign if i really wanted to hear his stuff

Nurturing Compassion - $45
Educating the Heart - $53.50 to $107
Mental Health - $64.50 to 187.25
Cultivating Authentic Happiness - $21.50 to $64.00

$180 to $400 to see the man this weekend.
spiritual enlightenment shouldn't be this expensive.
money is nothing more than a material thing.

if you are more worried about how much it would cost to see him then actually going despite the cost ,then there is no reason for you to see him in the first place.

his words would be meaningless to you.

oh yeah right. look, i'm not even barking at the price, i think it's fine. but to say that "his words would be meaningless" to people who don't go despite the cost is bullshit. some people can't afford that and won't go, but that doesn't mean anything.

So what you're saying is that a Bhuddist Monk who comes from a spartan lifestyle not reliant upon money's words are only meaningful to People affluent enough to afford tickets?

Methinks your reasoning is flawed.

you guys are both retarded.

i never said that his words would be meaningless if he is not willing to fork out the dough, i am merely saying that if the his only concern is cost and not the value that would far exceed that cost, then he is not in the right frame of mind to accept the teachings of buddism, even in the simplest form.

there is value here that far exceeds any price you can put a pricetag on, and until you detach the whole notion "enlightenment should not cost so much money", there is nothing you can grow on, beacuse you are not willing to let go of all that you are materialy attached to.

^ Maybe he can't afford to justify dropping that kind of coin on going to see the Dalai Llama. He could have priorities, like Car Insurance and Groceries.

How is not being able to pay the big price not putting him in the "right frame of mind"?

Are you an expert on Bhuddist teachings?

Please, do enlighten us on how to put ourselves in the proper state of mind Dalai Skitzo. We await your mighty offerings of knowledge...

jesus christ erik, what the fuck did you have for breakfast today, carnation instant retard?

i never said that he had to justify dropping coin in the first place, nor did i discredit his ability to accept the wisdom of the dalai lama based on his inability to pay the price. i said that if he is unable to SEE THE VALUE (keyword here) that would far exceed the price, then it would have not mattered if he saw the dalai lama or not, regardless of price. nirvana has no material value!!!!!

stop trying to put words in my mouth and READ what i am.

It's funny that I can see how frothy you're getting just from reading this.

it's not expensive for me cuz i'm single,
but it's a family event
and that's alot of dough for a family budget.
especially for something spiritual
which most ppl expect to be low cost or even free.

It may be expensive, but it's not a rip-off. Canucks tickets are a rip-off. $100 just to watch the friggin Blue Jackets?!

i won't let anything happen to the lama. i promise.

i may have to use his holiness as a shield.
