I LOVE Audition. It was a very well written movie. I see a lot of philosophy in Takashi Miike's writing. To me, it's almost like a dark metaphor at times... or perhaps even just a satirical message. I could be wrong though... he may very well just be a fucked up man.
Chumbscrubber was brilliant. City of God affected my screenplay immensely. I started rewriting it after watching that film again after not seeing it for some time and it sparked a strong desire to tell my tale in different viewpoints intertwined but each in their own small chapter. It also led me to Cirandiru which is by far one of the most interesting films I have ever seen. Also, I would like to recommend Natural City. Especially to you, Ms Stabby. Also, Dementia 13 is a Francis Ford Coppala film (pre-Godfather) starring Bela Lugosi. Intense and dark. |

hahaha okay maximum overdrive is fucking hilarious. Everytime I think of the vending machine moment I always laugh to myself. That has to be the worst Stephen King novel ever written :P
ooh, over the top is also hilarious for the arm wrestle 'OVER...THE...TOOOOP' Lately I've had a bit of an affection for turning off my brain and watching stupid action movies. I totally had a die hard marathon a few weeks ago :P haha |

How the fuck can you hate sexy beast? I even have Ben Kingsly's autograph on a postcard of Sexy Beast. ;P "I fucked Jackie. Dirty cow. During what we were doing, she tried to stick her finger up my bum. I nearly hit the roof, you can imagine. I mean, what have you got to think of a woman who'd want to do that? " |

The animation technique is called Rotoscoping, and it's been around for decades. It's a cheater's way of making animation more life-like and fluid by shooting the subject on film, first, then, frame by frame, redrawing (tracing) the image on paper w/ pen and ink. Ralph Bakshi was using this technique in his films ("Heavy Traffic", "Fritz the Cat", "Lord of the Rings", etc) back in the '70's. Frosty (wanted to clear that up) |

Oh shit. I should have remembered that Lord of the Rings cartoon before I posted that, although I had no idea it was the exact same technique. As for my original comment, that's what I was told by my film 'buff' buddy who has been caught for bullshit more than once now.
Also, are you sure Fritz the Cat is done in the same animation? |
