I'm hooked on this! Its a 5 disk DVD set. It's about $60 (depending on where you go). It was filmed entirely in HD, though it doesn't make much of a difference unless you have an HD-DVD player, even if you have an HD TV. But the views are phenominal! Plus Attenborough is easy to listen to for hours.

The American version has some girl talking because Americans don't understand Attenborough's vocabulary.

I bought it on Saturday! Watched the whole series when they aired it on cbc. I've been waiting soo long for this series to be released on dvd in Canada.

My favorite one has to be the cave episode.

I really love how they throw in how difficult some of the parts were to film and how they got some of the hard to get footage.

I'd suggest buying it, rather then downloading a version with compramised quality.

I just got through the first Disk. I think the Caves part is what I'm watching next.

I like the elephants and penguins. Seriously great series. Been following it all the way through, definitely going to add this to the library.

A great series at that!!. My parents bought it and from the few ive watched it seems like the rest will be amazing. Execellent cinematography and the narrator is easy to listen to like sequin said. I would recommend this to anyone. Certainly opens your mind to the animals and beings that survive off this planet and the destruction of the human species.
