Joss Whedon fans: Dr Horrible's Sing-a-long Blog
Dr. Horrible
Just nabbed this off iTunes the other day. Hilarious. It's been too long since I've seen anything new from Joss Whedon. Fans of Buffy's "Once More With Feeling" episode will probably love this. Felicia Day is going to be the new geek girl du jour too. Mark my words... just check out The Guild. Starring: Neil Patrick Harris Nathan Fillion Felicia Day "Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog is a 43-minute tragicomic musical in three acts, each released as a separate episode. It was produced exclusively for Internet distribution and tells the story of Dr. Horrible (Billy), an aspiring supervillain, Captain Hammer, his nemesis, and Penny, their mutual love interest. The movie was written by writer/director Joss Whedon, his brothers Zack Whedon (a television writer) and Jed Whedon (a composer), and Jed's fiancée, actress Maurissa Tancharoen. The writing team penned the musical during the WGA writers' strike. The idea was to create something small and inexpensive, yet professionally done, in a way that would circumvent the issues that were being protested during the strike. On July 25, 2008 at Comic-Con, Whedon announced plans for another part" |

Morgan Webb was the last one I could remember getting significant attention.
Jade Raymond had a good run recently, but only the real videogame hardcores paid that much attention. Then there's always Kari Byron... In the late 90s/early 00s, it was all about Allyson Hannigen tho... Last edited by dj_soo; Jul 31, 08 at 11:36 AM. |
