I just finished watching this movie, and here are my thoughts. (spoiler free)
Messed up.
It reminded me a lot of Requiem for a Dream and even copied the quick transition from taking the drugs and showing the effects of it. Hard to explain unless you've seen the movie(s). The cast is perfect, and this is coming from someone who doesn't like John Leguizamo. His character is a carbon copy of the sketch heads that we've all seen in our travels. There were some pretty big names in this movie that I didn't even realise. It's nice to see a movie that is not dulling it down to appeal to a larger demographic. This movie shows the life up close and personal, which isn't quite apparent early on. I was beginning to wonder why "this film has not yet been rated." Those thoughts quickly passed as cartoon images of genitalia quickly flashed passed my eyes when one character is what almost appears a lucid dream like state. It just esculates from there. I don't want to give any more details then that really. If you like messed up flicks with a drug induced thin plot line check this one out. If you didn't like Requiem for a Dream, it's pretty unlikely you'll find this one entertaining either.
