Just saw this flick last night...
The special effects and animation were amazing, mind blowing actually! I wasn't impressed with the end though... it leaves a lot of things un-answered. Think about it though - this third movie was the ending to the TRILOGY. It doesn't mean that we won't see more of Matrix-type movies. I guess we'll have to wait and see. |

yeah I just thought there was alot of cheese (ie the trinity neo thing) in the second and third one. I liked the second one quite a bit because of the questions it left me with at the end. With this final instalment I got bored of the battle for Zion (sp?) pretty quickly and the mooshy crap between trinity and neo kind of annoyed me. Other than that I can say I did get fully immersed in the story and setting. All in all it was ok, it made me think a bit which is more than I can say for alot of movies but again I didn't find it anything special compared to the first two.

Im really surprised so many people hated it.... i saw it and honestly i dont think ill ever see any movie that will be cooler then this movie... the batttle for zion was awesome... Agent Smith was cool and the story ended in a way i'd never have predicted.... im gonna see it many times in the theater... then buy the dvd (maybe even the collectors edition, cause im a consumer whore :c-tard: ) anywho it gets a huge recommendation from me... go see it now...

sigh, yes a little of a dissapointment.
I liked the movie for the effects... the fighting scenes alone are well worth my $12 to see it in some crammed movie threater. but compaired to the quality of the first, two/three just don't cut it. its as if two/three are there own series. I wish they had spent more time/money on just created part two, and figured three to come out 2005 for fuck sakes. gone and make a quality sequel. not just film a really long movie, cut it in half, and attempt to compete with lord of the rings releases. sold out a great production to money in my mind. plus I saw like five clues to a 4th and who knows a 5th! the movie sorta ends leaving you wanted to know more. like neo? hello buddy.. now what? triny triny you know your gunna be back. peace?! PEACE?!! |

the last fight scene between Neo and Agent Smith
reminded me so much of real live action Dragonball (should there ever be a movie to be made about Dragonball, I think it would look similar to that) without the 30 minutes of grunting and powering up. :) Best part *spoiler* Smith dazes Neo in mid air, and then grabs him, and does that uber-slam into the street, causing a shockwave to erupts through all the buildings, cars and surrounding area, and then it pans out to a higher view of the city, and you can see the enormous bubble of water caused by the impact. Brilliant. the acting was pretty bad, so I just ignored that part. |

no wonder why you hate it snyx, you cant compare them to each other because its meant to be a trilogy... they arent extensions of just a single movie but meant to be an entire story
and you cant expect to be blown away by special effects in every one of the matrixes its like what one of the actors said when they were being interviewed... the first matrix is basically the precursor for the next two matrixes, so obviously its going to be the "favorite" since its the one that first introduces the story |

the matrix trilogy (imo) is one of the milestones of movie history... everything, from the sfx to the fight sequences to the dynamic plot blows everything else out of the water... as for the third movie, one of the best movies I've ever seen... the ending was perfect... a little less action but still beyond the current stardands for any movie...

the first one was the best because when it first came out, no one knew anything about it. it was a fresh original idea. there were just too many high expectations for the other two to live up to the first. although i will give the series an a+ for kick ass fighting scenes, but just leave out the cheesey love story
