I agree that the three movies must follow a central storyline, though after the original Matrix was released the bar had been set so high that everyone had greater expectations of some superior sequal(s)
Unfortunately the series plummited into the void of the Hollywood pulp machine and what could have been something of epic proportions became more simply a decent set of movies. I'm now waiting for LOR Return of the King to fill the void of unfufilled expectations Revolutions left in the season of the sequals. Fin:199: |

Great for CGI and philisophical quandarys.
G'uh for character development about characters I couldn't get invested in. The first Matrix made me care about their cast. But all these new faces were just walk-on cliches (the former love interest, the jealous general, the green kid, etc). I'm not saying they couldn't have been interesting because they were cliches. I'm saying they were presented as nothing more than cliches. |
