^^I liked that, i was hoping it would never end. At the end of the movie, I was staggering out of the theaters, from staring at a screen with my eyes wide open for so long. But IT WAS FUCKING MINDBLOWING! It was better then i expected. So many parts I liked...
SPOILERS: I like it when Denethor jumps from Minis Tirith on fire I like it when the eagles come I like it when Eowyn kicks ass I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE IT AGAIN. Legolas on the Oliphant was pretty slick. |

i wasn't a big fan of the third book either. but i don't recall eowyn killing the ringwraith? i know she hits the ugly bastard, but she doesn't she just wound it?
edit- i'm glad they took out the part where eowyn and faramir meet. |

i watched it a second Time tonight...and it was definately better. there were only three things that i didn't like. 1. no confrontation with saruman 2. eowyn and the king ringwraith 3. no burning of the shire and all those things that i hate were all spaced in the movie, in such a way, that i would let that eat my brain for a bit, so that i would bitch to myself at how i didn't really like the movie. but i gave it a second chance, and i found that it was enjoyable...well worth the extra 9.25. A couple parts were really sweet, that wern't even in the book. When pippin lit the beacon, that signaled to Rohan...does anyone remember reading that in the book? That was fun to watch. And when the fellowship met up in the end...it was different then the book, but it worked. And, did the kingdom of Gondor bow to the hobbits in the book? I'm gonna have to look back on that one too.
The confrontation with Saruman will be in the EE. ^^Why didn't you like the part with Eowyn and the witchking? And the scouring of the shire...that would have dragged the movie out another hour at least. I can't wait to see it again... |

Keep in mind that neither Gandalf nor Elrond are men, as well. |

It's too bad, though, because he's really honourable until about the last couple hours of his life, and then we find out that he was using the Palantir. Oh well. Quote:

It definitely is the biggest single achievement at creating a unified vision of a new world. the fact that's its made similar notables look like absolute single-vision crap is amazing. Every aspect of this movie doesn't try too hard, but because of this it is all believable
Hopefully Keenu and George Lucas donate half their earnings to charity for the shame they feel now |

ROTK ruled and was by far the best one in my opinion...
I went and watched it last night and have to say the movie was simply amazing. This book was the most remembered to my recollection so I knew the outcome, but couldnt believe how beautifully it all came together. BIG UP THE ARMY OF THE DEAD. I RECOMMEND THIS MOVIE TO EVERYONE I WOULD HAVE TO SAY 9.1/10 |
