If you are planning to chip it then definatly xbox. You can do the hardrive thing for it now and its awesome. First you get a mod chip for the xbox then you can insert a cimputer harddrive of your choice (obviously bigger hd = more space for more games) then for $25 install fee you install the HD and then from then on you jsut go to blockbuster rent a game upload the stupid thing and you got the game just like that. Obviously you have to invest a lil money for the chip and new HD but its well worth it in the end. PS2 chip is awesome too but buying pirated games for that here is $10 each and renting a game to upload onto the xbox is $5 so half that. Your call buddy. and by the way Gamecube games are almost able to be pirated.

(fyi i dont have any of the 3 choices)
out of tha new age systems i would go with a PS2, i follow tha games not all other shit rawb said it right about graphics an crap is only important when you first look at it. gameplay is whats important xbox is a good system, dont like the controllers but i heard that its games werent selling well (altho i think this was like 2nd quarter 03) but ionno, i wouldnt buy one. GC is good but seems limited in games, my bro got one and it was doing something weird, cant remember exactly i think it was to do with that stupid ass game animal crossing (never played it but wtf is that crap) and it resulted in his memory card getting wiped. couldve been to do with gauntlet now that i think of it. wouldnt buy one of those either. i still got a PS1 that barely works and almost got smashed out of frustration the other day still play my n64, 007 n mario kart ILL KICK UR ASSES and my NES but most my games suck. still like tetris n contra yo-noid haha i remember that game from when i was little, could never remember tha name but i called it "the pizzza superhero rabbit guy game" or somethin like that. all i remember bout it is somthin bout a pogo stick, a rabbit guy, and a screen of cards where you gotta flip em over or somthin i miss my sega genesis with street fighter 2, mk1, mk2 WHY DID I SELL THIS :soak: |

Screw em all. PC is the best. Obviously online is number 1, graphics are insane. Besides you can have NES, SNES, GENESIS, N64, GB, GBC, GBA, PS, PS2 (soon), XBOX (some games sofar), GC (soon), VIRTUAL BOY, DREAMCAST, INTELLIVISION, ATARI... and he list goes on. Not to mention DOOM 3 soon and Final Fantasy XI. Plus awesome onlines like Ragnarok, Magna Carta and WOG III.
I still picked PS2. It all boils down to game type preference. If you like RPG's buy a PS2 hands down. Fighting games = PS2 becasue the xbox controller just doesn't compute fighting game inputs with it's d-pad. Online playing go with XBOX. Sports is a hard one. Shooters go with xbox, but PS2 is real close. Original and exclusive games go for Gamecube. I'm a big RPG fan so I went with PS2 and the new version is a lot better. |

Man I just bought a PS2 a couple weeks ago and it was one of the smartest things I've done with money.........It has great graphics, awsome games, and much better controllers than XBox!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.................And I can say this cause my step-bro has XBox and I can't stand it

yeah, in regards to pirating the GC games, arent the GC discs structured differently than other cd's? i remember someone telling me that information on the cd which is usually closest to the center of the cd is actually on the outer edge of the GC discs.. therefore to even read a disc on a conventional cdrom drive you'd have to mod the drive so that it looks for the information on the outer parts of the disc.. then of course you'd have to mod your cdr drive to write that info to the outer part of the disc too
