the views on religion were pretty interesting though.... how fucked up the roman catholic church was... merlin the dark wizard and his pagan following, how most of the knights were non-believers, and how arthur was true to himself and followed his heart and faith... he didn't follow all those catholic retards... kinda like a start to a protestant perspective except wayyy before henry viii

Well said.
I just got back.
K-Pryde is right, it's more factual (as far as hollywood is concerned) then fairy tale or legend. It sort of started in the middle of the timeline, after they left home.
Ya, it could of been an amazing epic but i don't think the movie was a)budgeted for it or b) risky to follow which fairy tale/legend to please the masses.
I thought it was an above average movie. the acting was consistent (except the end where merlin sounded italian :P).
The fight scenes were done better then troy, the special affects on the ice scene rocked too.
I missed the first 5 minutes and was playing catchup from there, and it left a little to assume. But ya, good show :)
