I just got back from seeing the movie king arthur and I must say it was gayest piece of pro war shit I had ever seen. Basically masked behind the former Britain king arthur and his pagan knights (the americans) and merlin and his army (the british). Who keep in mind once fought in the same country and are now allied. Hmm sounds like present day britain and america. Who are fighting the saxons (terrorists/iraq&afghanistan). While over and over you will hear king arthur talk about freedom, equality, and that war is neccessary. Or in other words the war in iraq "is neccessary". Then when I thought it couldn't be more obvious right before the bad guy dies (the saxon/terrorist) he shouts out "allah". Hmmm sounds exactly like the guy people in the middle east worship eh? Plus all of the saxons/terrorists were killed just the way hitler would have done it. King Arthur was the most bullshit excuse for a pro war rally I have ever seen.

if the trailers weren't enough to scare me away reading this in a review sure sealed the deal. "I did approve of the fact that a sultry saxophone plays whenever Knightley is on-screen, because in a movie this bad, you''ll take any laugh you can get."

I'm a major fan of Arthurian legend. IMO, this movie sucked the proverbial donkey balls.
It was a poorly plotted version of the story (although I think part of the reason I didn't like it was because it wasn't the version of the story that I personally like). There were too many characters missing andthe ones that were there were poorly developed. The movie focused far too much on the fighting and not nearly enough on the story. I'm really disappointed that this movie turned out so bad. It could have been an AMAZING epic like Gladiator or even the Lord Of The Rings, yet they did such a half assed job of it that I want those 2 hours of my life back.

this wasnt a re-creation of the myth of arthur.. it was based on what actual historians have apparently studied about a true Arthur character in history...
anyways... there were some good action scenes, and the story wasn't all that bad. had me somewhat interested... and the acting wasn't too bad either, but nothing spectacular. but the final sequences were just pure cheese... kinda ruined it for me. not to mention some flaws in the plot that just left me saying "what the fuck were they thinkin" the one highlight was keira knightley! she is fuckin sexy!! dammmn... soo hot!
