ridley didn't direct aliens dude, james cameron did.
kingdom of heaven was pretty good for an epic film with no actualy facts of history in it. much like gladiator. the camera work in it is actually incredible. the dop actually had pads on and was letting people hit him with swords while he filmed. thats pretty crazy to do while holding a half a millions dollars of equipment on your shoulders. from an artistic point of view, it was great. from a history buffs point, it was crud.
i'd love to see an actual historically correct big budget film about the first crusades, not just a big budget film about the second crusades. the second was a boring time period, hah. it was a wsate of money imo.
and yeah, bloom is a fucking poofter. he wouldn't have even been able to pick up a hammer, let alone a sword back then.
