Thank You For Smoking
This movie.. wow. I could give it a 10/10, but to be honest.. it's above ratings. This movie is a staple for satire fans. Not to mention, as a happy pack-a-day smoker I found it very appealing. Accepted 5.5/10. It was better than horrible, but worse than great. It was adequate. |

borat... mabie 7/10? i was a little dissapointed.. mabie it was just too extreme.. mabie past the point of being funny anymore... i dont know... i was so hyped for this movie... just a little let down...
stranger than fiction... 9/10... i love will ferrel...i thought this was a really good movie.. and not in the usual way u would expect will ferrel to be funny... it was a little bit more serious.. kinda of dark comedy i suppose... |

last movie i watched was memoirs of a geisha.. i give it a 8.5/10, i enjoyed the flow and story of the movie, but was distracted by how the japanese were speaking english and how the americans just had to somehow barge into the movie. other than that it was a wonderful story line..a good sunday night movie. |

What I liked most was the message behind this movie. That basically to be a succesful/famous working artist now adays, you have to either be controversial, gimicky, or a kiss-ass with connections.... actual talent coming secondary in importance. It seemed almost satirical, because its potrayal of the scene was so negative. It made me wonder if this was written by people who had tried to follow their art dreams and did not succeed, so decided to make fun of the very thing that they failed at with this movie? This was a movie that kept me laughing while I was watching, and kept me thinking after I had watched it. I think the sharp observations and humour made up for the sketchy storyline ( i do admit the murder mystery element seemed a little out of place....) .
