not to mention, I believe since the super-improved graphic consoles started coming out that sony has been on the top from the get-go. with the playstation beating the n64 and taking the dreamcast right out of the run, with the ps2 matching the likes of the xbox and the gamecube and can be argued has slightly better games/graphics then the two, so I highly doubt sonys gonna drop out of the running with the xbox 360 - I think sony is gonna come out on top again.

I think there already is a port for a keyboard actually (PS2 I believe). Although since I'm not much of a video gamer I could be wrong about that.

they have those, well at least for the ps2 they do.

the thing is, there making run as fast as computers but there sole purpose is gaming, whereas computers will always be a universal console to do everything you need done, as opposed to the video game consoles which will basically be for gaming only, sure it does come with linux installed on the hard drive (so there advertising) but I highly doubt your going to be able to do what you can do on the computer (to the extent of things you can do on the puter) on the ps3.

well i'm looking at the article and it says PS3 is gonna have a digital camera. so ya, it's moving beyond simple gaming. just look at PSP and how you have movies and mp3's and stuff.

I'm just saying the PC is still the best choice all around because it's upgradeable, and you can d/l patches, add-ons, etc. for your games, and porn too.

lol true the porn distribution will not be beat by any gaming console lol. but the webcam feature is for customizability, its so you can have your own pictures inside the video game - like create your own character and make it look exactly like you - which I think is an awesome idea. I wonder if they'll do that for background and scenery too - but I doubt it

I don't think they're trying to be like computers per se. I think they're trying to make up for their shortcomings against what the PC gaming world has to offer.

Plus, videogames have evolved greatly in the last few years. If there wasn't a keyboard or other peripherals you could use with the console, then playing the game would be too difficult.

I don't think game companies would ever make their consoles more "PC" than it has to be. Their main purpose is to play games, but to expand their market and make more money, I guess they're incorporating storage and media player capabilities.

Hmm.. my two cents.

now they're saying the X Box 360 is crashing when loading certain games. if this was a PC game, they'd come with a patch that could fix that like a week later. here, they'll probably have to recall the systems or something..
