What originally hooked you into the DJing scene?

I began producing hip hop in high school, making beats for local artists demo tapes, and always dreamed of having my own beats put on vinyl, so i could rock them myself. Then i went to my first rave and was stoked to see the dj rocking a crowd and getting the credit he deserved (as opposed to the hip hop showsi was used to, where the mc gets all the attention), and aspired to not only control the records, but the music that was on them. I am a musician and entertainer at heart.

probably this aids awareness/benefit compilation album form the 90's featuring Wu-tang, Mos Def, De La Soul, Pete Rock, Biz Markie, Goodie Mob, Coolio, Spice 1 and Common, among other classic hip hop acts. its fuckin ill.

just the usual, shitty needles, shady promoters/club owners, taking the needle off the wrong record... (only once harhar) you know, the usual.

What do you like the most about DJing?

Hearing my own tunes on thumpin speakers and seeing people fly into the air. thats the tits right there.

bevy was my ex gf's pet name for me, and i hated it. Shannon slotted me to open for a swiftbeats party, but i hadnt come up with a name yet. "Don't worry, i have already!" and it was Bevvy Swift. i used to be affiliated with IMAPUSSY as well, but that crew is wack.
