Since 1989 a strange sound has been coming from the country of Germany constantly pushing sonic boundaries for electronic dance music. Their motto 'See you in 2017' still holds true today after hundreds of seminal releases by members Marc Arcadipane, Miro Pajic, Thorsten Lambart, being true leaders and originators in each of the genres that they worked in..
If those names don't sound familiar to you, they are also known by one of their other many aliases:
6-Pack, 8 A.M., A.2017, Ace The Space, Alien Christ, Barracuda, Beethoven, Budleckers, Children Of E, Chucky Chunk, Cold Rush City Cru, Craig Tayaffo, Cyborg Unknown, Cypher, Dancehall Terrorists, DB 600, DJ Bubi, DJ Full Nuts, DJ Jacques O., DJ Puppy, Don Dee Jay, Dr. Atomic, Dusty Angel, E-Team, FBI, FFM Bande, Free Base International, Freez-E-Style, Friends Of Alex, Friends Of Django, Giebel, Gotz, Highrollers, Jack E. Mustang, Marc-E-Bwoy, Marshall Masters, Mask, Mescalinum United, Mover, The, Nasty Django, New Balance, No Sukkaz, O.G.s, PCP-Project, Pilldriver, Planet Phuture, The Possessed, The Postman, Program 1, Psycho Party, Pussy Controller, Rave 2000, Rave Creator, Re-Block, The, Reincarnated Regulator, Resident E, SexDrive Entertainment, Sonic Surfer, Spiritual Combat, Sub-0, Subtopia, Suburban Soul, T-Bone Castro, T8, Tilt!, Trip Commando, Tumor, Ultra Spaceman, Ultra Tech, Vibrator, Whalekommittee, White Breaks, Wonderboy, Don Demon, Slam Burt,Billy The Kid, Bold Bob, David Popperfield, Destination, E-Cowboy, E-Man, Evidence, Frozen, Hypnotizer, Jack Lucifer, Kotzaak Klan, The, M1, Miro, Overlord, The, Rat Of Doom, Reign, S.O., Steve Shit, Stickhead, 2 Tonys, Bellini Bros., Dogge Team, Freebase Factory, Great Bellinis, The, Helljockeys, Inferno Bros., Killerloops, Kloficker, Leathernecks, M.F.P.A., Pandemonium, PCP, Raw Power Organisation, Smash?, Stalker, T.S.A.R, Tanochinjaii, Tony G, Turbulence.
With musical styles crossing over through many genres such as Acid, Jungle, Hardcore, Techno, Hardstyle, Trance, Minimal, the PCP sound is distinguishable by its usage of atmospheric sounds, the usage of original instruments, and masterful sequencing.
To put it bluntly, PCP seriously altered the way I listen to electronic music permanently.
All three members have gone their own way letting the labels PCP, Dance Ecstasy, Arcadipane 2017 and many others cease to exist - creating a worldwide demand for these releases on vinyl. One needs to look on used record websites and see that some of the work can be considered worth as much as gold.
Sleizure will be dedicating the upcoming show to these artists exposing listeners to the epic masterpieces that have been put together over the past 18 years to ensure they are never forgotten.
