After Vespers super hot last outing "This Is The Beat" on Pop And Lock, we've upped the ante BIG time for this package!
First up is his rolling breakbeat affair "We Get Wicked," an unabashedly funky affair that nods to the glory days of nu-skool breaks with its ravey synths, potent vocal hooks and slamming beats.
Next up, the man of the moment General Midi churns in a billion mile an hour reworking, using bits n pieces of the original to amazing effect overtop of trademark chunky electro-y breaks. Powerful drums and mangled synths are the order of the day, and right from the get go you know you're in for a hands in the air, beer spilling mosh pit rocking party killer. Not a heck of a lot more needs to be said about this, its a total stormer!
Finally, a nice bonus to say the least, Christoph Maitland (behind the recent Powertrain EP on Pop And Lock) got his grubby mits all over another Vespers track entitled "Lose Control," and uses his deep prog-meets-breaks approach to mash it all up into a driving monster track. Krystal Jones makes another appearance here with her sultry disco vocals, and they flow perfectly overtop of the throbbing undertones that Christoph lays down.
All in all its another stormer from Pop And Lock!!!!
