Hi,
Just listened to the first 2 mintutes of this track and was suprised to hear Samurai showdown samples galore. I think that you need to work on the style, a little bit too reliant on the mamer samples. Don't be turned away by my critique, as a fellow artist, I feel that we need to be honest. I think you ought to run the Jap vocal samples through kontact with a lower bit rate and a delay. WHERE ARE YOUR HATS? oK I reason hats suck, so use cubase sx lmy high hats, very nice 909 samples. next turn the background music off sometimes like a break, very easy in an emulator (how did you record, do use soundblasters record what you hear?) Lastly, the rave idea is good, go with it. I like the idea, its like videogame music, but I think your trying for something else, something more concrete and definitive. |

^ i use cubase sx 2.0 along with reason. The samples are from Akira not samuri showdown. thank you for your input, but im super happy with this production. I just want to give people energy thats my vibe im trying to put out and hopefull people will appreaciate it

absolutely sick track. very creative, i love the trancy synth arppegios. what label is it coming out on?
if i had any critisism it would just be that mixing this track might be a bit weird due to the strangeness of the intro. and i dont like the reverse cymbal effect at the beginning, it just sounds very "reason"... but thats just me. anyways, wicked track, sick sick sick siiiiiick bass, congrats dude! |

interesting ideas... not overly keen on the arpreggiator for the first half of the tune, but it sounds a bit better after the breakdown (which sounds pretty dope in itself)... the bass tones need a lot of work (and it would probably help if it wasn't made in Reason... cuz Reason's synths have a distinctively crappy sound to them)
whoa ends kind of abruptly, too could use some edits and fills and some more incidentals and FX maybe... keep workin on 'er though or if you're dead set on this one being 'finished goddamnit!!!', I understand that feeling all too well, LoL, the hardest thing in the world to do is to 'finish' something and then go back into it later after hearing feedback about it and change things in it to offset the feedback u got on it in any case, keep at 'er... my advice is to collect and learn as many VST instruments as you can |
