I have to disagree here. I would never wear bare legs or open-toed shoes in a professional setting. However, I learned most of my professional dress from my mother, who works in law firms, and I do notice I am often dressed a couple notches higher than others around me. I do see people wearing open toes and bare legs in situations where I wouldn't more and more often these days. However, I usually operate on the theory that being slightly overdressed is always better than being slightly underdressed.

in a professional setting i wouldn't wear an open toed shoe, but i would go without nylons.
i think it's a contentious issue though, i had a discussion with an older woman at a bank (head office) i was working at and she was saying how "young kids" never wear nylons anymore, and it screams unprofessional to her. i hate nylons. :( |
