Bare Legs?

I have this meeting to go to, and it is starting to get warm enough for a strappier heels. I can't decide if bare legs/sans nylons are appropriate or not.

Are they?

Why the hell wouldn't they be?

Are you expecting a possible 'OH MY GOD SHE'S NOT WEARING NYLONS!! WHAT A SLUT!!!'?

So long as you're not rocking the sasquatch legs I'm sure you're fine.

bare legs are totally appropriate... nylons are almost a thing of the past, though i'm usually more comfortable wearing them, especially in a professional setting.

I don't think it is slutty, but for some reason, in my head, it can scream trashy.

ps - NO SASQUATCH

if it's casual enough to show toe, you don't wear nylons.

I have to disagree here. I would never wear bare legs or open-toed shoes in a professional setting. However, I learned most of my professional dress from my mother, who works in law firms, and I do notice I am often dressed a couple notches higher than others around me. I do see people wearing open toes and bare legs in situations where I wouldn't more and more often these days. However, I usually operate on the theory that being slightly overdressed is always better than being slightly underdressed.

[female] legs should not be bare unless they are presentable. think about that.

I have little scars on my legs from when I was a kid. It sounds stupid but this stuff works really good to cover up little imperfections.
And its not expensive and doesn't feel gross...

lithe is on a distinguished road
in a professional setting i wouldn't wear an open toed shoe, but i would go without nylons.

i think it's a contentious issue though, i had a discussion with an older woman at a bank (head office) i was working at and she was saying how "young kids" never wear nylons anymore, and it screams unprofessional to her.

i hate nylons. :(

^ I hate nylons too. They are never built long enough for tall people. Sooooo uncomfortable! :/

I've worn my open toed sandels with a nice pair of slacks to work..

like I said in another thread, even though I'm an accountant, my workplaces are pretty relaxed in what I should wear.

bare legs at work are not acceptable.

of course you work in a bastion of unionized commies so im actually surprised you'd have a dress code at all.
