My hockey team is hosting a poker tournament/fundraiser

Buy ins are 20 bucks or 300 for high rollers

It's on Sat. Nov 11th. and in North Burnaby

I took out one player and I was the short stack going into head to head action.

Went all in with a A J of hearts and my buddy had K Q off suit.

4 9 K flop

shit buddy. that sucks alota ass man.

the ones that hurt the most is when you pocket something nice, like Q's K's or even A's, and someone calls you with low connectors unsuited and they flop a straight.

oh well. we are gonna play sooooo much poker when i come out.

but for the meanwhile, you should enter this tournament. looks like alot of fun.

I know that alot of people are coming to support the team and aren't too into poker, so there's some easy money to be made!!

its just that 95% of poker players are men..

Anyway id be down for hosting a poker game in White Rock if anyone is interested, we could do ring game style or a lil tournament would be fun.

I got good chips and a poker table, lemme know if anyone is interested. Or if anyone has one going on in Surrey/DowntownVan i know some ppl who would like to chilll and play.

you know whats even worse. I got the rockets and go all in and someone calls my all in with a 7 2 off suit and gets his flush on the river

I won with a straight

yah but thats not as bad as losing against 7 2 which is the worst hand to have. But he didn't last much long due to him being a donkey. Kept calling everyhand

that's the problem with pocket A's, they will always kill you. they don't mean shit unless no one get two pair or higher.

sure, pre-flop they are the best hand, but that doesn't mean anything afterwards.

i played my dad and his best friend's son last night. won both of the games.

tru tru. they are the best preflop but yeah they can be a bitch sometimes. I know for sure alot of ppl woulnd't call a big preflop bet with 7 2 offsuit. i've been hitting up cascades and both days pretty good.

Pocket rockets tend to make people a little to overconfident and make it too hard to walk away. They have to played a special way or u win small, or get creamed when someone flops something you never even saw coming.
