Att: Females Only
Are you interested in learning how to DJ? Do you know the basics, but still want to learn more about DJing and the industry?
This is a very special message I wanted to send to you as I know what it's like to attempted DJ'ing in a very intimidating male dominant industry. This event is aimed primarily for women (and men who are nice) who are interested in learning more about DJing and to show case some of Vancouver's local female talent in a fun club environment. Your welcome to contact myself or Etel of BB Events for more information and g-list. Etel: [email protected] Rhia: [email protected] Due to circumstance beyond our control, BB Events has had to find an alternative venue for this event...and found a spot that's even better than the original! You haven't seen anything like this, DO NOT MISS THIS EVENT! NEW VENUE: DIAVOLO LOUNGE, 1240 RICHARDS STREET Date: Friday, November 24, 2006. Doors: 10:00 pm Come down early for a compimentary bevvy and loungy build towards the beat throwdown by 3 of Vancouver's hottest ladies on deck: DJ VERONICA, MISS MARZ and RHIANNON! feel free to boot this chump in the nuts for being an idiot. I'd rather see a female dj take lessons than an ignorant fool voice his opinion. |

proven fact.... women have better reaction time then men (and have better ears then men) so that in hand cueing, beatmatching, mixing/transitioning for a female is probably more easier since they pay more attention then us guys do....
Another interesting fact is if you were to put a girl in a drivers seat of a dragster. They have a faster reaction time to getting off the line and ripping down the track then a guy does.... |

One of my favourite dj's in this whole planet is ill-esha, she's been rocking the decks for the same amount of time I have and every set i've seen her play made my pants wet with craziness. In no way im sexist or anything like that. But even when dj leanne made her dj school at boomtown, i was not digging it.
Why spend money on lessons when you can hook up 2 cd players to each ear, learn how to listen to two tracks at once, count beats.. its really not that hard. |

Anyone can learn to drive. Yet there is still driving school... Do you think that attending a driving school might make you a better driver than if you hadnt attended? If not, then what is the point? and how do they manage to stay in business? |

dj schools + lazy people = cash grab. good on them, bad on the people who spend the dough when they could be buying records or equipment. |
