i missed the avatar, but its an offensive word, and can be greatly misunderstood. calling your friends your *****z isnt really a big deal, cos no one is getting offended.

I make fun of my chinese (well half, anyway) girlfriends race all the time, but its understood that its only for shits and giggles, and we can both laugh at the stereotypes that go with our races. public forums are a different story.

the word itself is definitely unacceptable, that paired with it being a black cartoon on the yoshi (looking at what firewire posted as his previous avatar) makes it even worse. On a more positive note though, at least firewire was respectful enough to take it down without any arguments. :)
