The internet is like any other medium and is serious, your lame argument that it is not is played out and outdated. A major part of current life occurs online. funny how the term "nammer" is used alot to identify someone from the vietnamese community and has been used repeatively on this board yet there isn't ever an out cry of such profiling being used.

one way or another you've profiled one's race... religion... etc.... whether if it was in public or private. And don't say you haven't cause I ain't going to buy it. Just get over it and try and find another subject to create a thread instead of creating drama

...no it's OK man, I'm not here to disturb shit. If someone finds it offensive then I honestly don't have a problem doing something so simple as changing it to something else. He might or not might be right but I'm not here to try to understand the way he thinks, so I'd rather avoid it altogether.

Although it might not be offensive to certain people, especially of a different race, it has proven offensive to many others.

I dont believe in using offensive slang to refer to a certain race. Its inappropriate. I hope that my nephew, who is half black will grow up respecting all races, and refrains from using that word. I also hope that he never feels uncomfortable because of someone referring to him as one.

Its really a respect issue. Good job changing your avatar =D
