Who Wants To Wait In Line For Their Passport

I don't mind arriving early, doing the 5-6 session, but someone has to take the next hour while I get some food.

I dont know where the Sinclar Center is. But Ill be standing in line at the one in Surrey. Good times. Bringing a Camera and a packed lunch.

Hey all those who are curious about the richmond office:

I was there yesturday and it was not that bad. Got in line @ 12:45 out by just after 3 pm so it was less than 2 1/2 hours. It went by fast. I brought a gameboy and some timbits and was happy. The worst time is apparently in the early am soem ladie ssaid the line up was way longer then when they came again in the afternoon. It seems the best time is about 1:30 there seems to be a lull in the line up.

4 weeks by mail. Good Luck!

I went to Rmd branch, hoping that now the lineups aren't as bad (March 15) and springbreak is starting next week. I got there around 1pm and was out of the office a little bit after 3pm, which isn't bad. One piece of advice: Get your passport done online first. This speeds up the process. Instead of getting one no. in the waiting area, you get 2 no. b/c of your e-pass application. Basically whichever no. gets called first, you go up...

With the recent hike in identity fraud and a report on the news yesterday of mail being sifted and passports being stolen, it's best to wait in line again to pick up the passport... IMO.

Heard a rumor though that they might lengthen the use of each passport to ten years. That would rock.

I would stand in line with you Myles, but I got about 3 years left in mine :) I'll be downtown, so if you need a food run, call me!

myles i got there at 525 on a monday morning and it wasnt too bad i was the 21st person in line as long as your the first 50 numbers they give out u get into the office at 730 i was out by 805, and they open sinclair centre at 6 so u dont have to sit outside.

The sinclair center wasn't so bad. When I got there at 11am, the line ws all the way down to the skytrain. I had my laptop, so I watched movies. three hours later, I had my wait number, and was running down to the A&W downstairs, and there was no lineup at all. There appears to have been an early rush in the year, and they're still staffed for the rush, so it's not nearly as bad as it was.

it's still a stress out to have to get it priority rush..yikes!

And I got mine purolatered......a room mate signed for it for me. They don't fuck around with passports, they're pretty secure.
