hey electro fans. . .
Why is it so hard to find high-energy electro? It doesn't have to be fast, but all of the tracks I listen to just don't have any punch to them. No drop, nothing to get people stoked. Am I just not finding it or is it an all-around weak genre?
I like really deep, confident electro... tunes with backbone. Lead the way. . . |

The stuff people are really responding to up here right now is bassline oriented electro... almost minimal, I guess? That Benny Benassi tune 'Satisfaction' or an electro remix of it maybe... it had people rocking harder than I've ever seen them. So I figure any way I can expose them to more music like it will help me integrate electronic music into the bar scene up here.

[Singoli house Dicembre 2005] Freeform Five (Mylo remix) vs Gorillaz - No more conversations to feel good [Gyle'z 3rd bootleg remix]
That's pretty much exactly the kind of electro I want to rock for these people. They can connect to that because of the Gorillaz, but it still exposes them to music that is outside their usual realm. Consider me their messiah haha. |

I got exactly what you need, or at least close to it... right here:
http://www.fnk.ca/board/showthread.p...50#post1826950 The tracklist is posted, so just follow the tracks as they go and look at the tracklist. |

Yeah Tigran! That's definately close. Basically, these people are not into electronic music because they connect the term with Sandstorm and epic trance, but when they hear an insanely catch track the dancefloor fills up. I'd like to be able to keep that up as long as possible.
They just don't hear the same hooks that we do. They've never had any exposure to this save for MuchDance and such. |

Sounds like you're trying to do exactly what I'd like to see done out here in the 'Wack (apart from Apex and other outdoor "massives" (or "mosquito infested masslesses", to some), which doesn't say anything of the local, non-existent scene...Just gotta come up with the extra $$$ for some tables of my own! Good luck with your project man!

Eww.
Eric Prydz has yet to captivate my attention for longer than 2 minutes. Call On Me got annoying real quick and I'm getting goddamn frustrated with his desire to trapse over the remains of great musicians before him with all his annoying dirty funker remixes. |
